The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is the world’s foremost gathering on reducing disaster risk and building the resilience of communities and nations. It takes place every two years.

The seventh session of the Global Platform for DRR is expected to take place in 2021. 

The sixth session of the Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2019) took place from 13-17 May 2019, and was focused on the theme, 'Resilience Dividend: Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Societies'. The Earth Negotiations Bulletin coverage of GP2019 is here.
