UN's Second Committee (Economic and Financial) is holding a dialogue with the Executive Secretaries of the Regional Commissions on the theme ‘Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: The Role of the Regional Commissions'. The dialogue will include presentations by: Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC); Christian Friis Bach, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe (ECE); Shamshad Akhtar, Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP); Abdallah Al Dardari, Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA); and Ingrid Cyimana, Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). The presentations will be followed by an interactive discussion.
