The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Malaysia chapter is organizing this workshop to: map the current state of countries' preparedness for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); explore the role of science in follow-up and review, especially with regard to accountability; explore interlinkages between national, regional and global levels of implementation; and discuss sustainable consumption and production (SCP). Discussions will take place in a series of four roundtables with participants from Asian and European countries. The Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Malaysia's Office of the Science Advisor, the UN University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), SDSN Japan, SDSN Sweden and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia (ISIS Malaysia) are partnering with SDSN Malaysia to organize the workshop.
