The World Bank will host the Multi-stakeholder Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting on SDG 7 (clean and affordable energy). The meeting will convene under the theme, ‘Toward SDG Review at the HLPF and Beyond’. Participants will discuss policy briefs on SDG 7, prepared in support of the 2023 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) and share challenges and opportunities in achieving SDG 7.
In advance of the meeting, the World Bank will hold a special session on a new report titled, ‘Unlocking Clean Cooking Pathways: A Practitioner’s Key to Progress’.
The SDG7-TAG is set up to seek, and facilitate the exchange of, expert advice on how to strengthen the follow-up and review of SDG 7 and its interlinkages with other SDGs. The SDG7-TAG membership draws from governments, UN system, international organizations, civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders, with balanced regional and gender representation.
