The resumed sessions of the 24th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 24) and the 3rd meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI 3) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) as well as the third Meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (WG2020-3) are scheduled to take place from 13-29 March 2022.
These meetings will prepare for the UN Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP 15), which is expected to take place in Kunming, China.
These meetings were originally scheduled to take place in January 2022. However, on 2 December 2021, the Secretariat announced the meetings would be postponed to the identification of the COVID-19 variant Omicron and imposition of travel measures and restrictions in a number of countries.
