The European Commission will convene the ‘Our Forests, Our Future’ conference to analyze and discuss opportunities and challenges for enhancing the contribution of the forest sector to the main EU priorities.

The conference will address the theme, ‘Sustainable Forest Management to Address Societal Challenges’. Participants will take stock of the review of the EU Forest Strategy, and discuss: the contribution of forests and the forest-based sector to innovation, growth and jobs, and opportunities and challenges for the bioeconomy; opportunities and challenges for forests and the forest-based sector associated with the Paris Agreement on climate change; forests and the health of the Earth; and protecting forests and promoting sustainable forest management (SFM) at the global level. The conference will also present successful tree-planting campaigns and forest communication actions.
