Organized by the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC), the Conference will address: an overview of chemicals management programs in Canada, Mexico and the US; activities of the CEC's Sound Management of Chemicals (SMOC) Working Group; innovative approaches to promote sustainability, such as green chemistry, alternatives assessments, and design of greener products; transparency, risk communication and stakeholder engagement; and emerging issues and future North American efforts to advance SMOC.
