The Local and Regional Governments Day will take place during the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2021, and will provide an opportunity for exchange and discussions among local and regional governments with key UN partners and other constituencies.
The event is convened by the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments and will also feature the presentation of the annual Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments Report on Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will be held ahead of the Local and Regional Governments Forum on the 2030 Agenda which will take place from 12-13 July.
