Launch of the Food, Energy, Environment and Water (FE2W) Network

The formal launch of the Food, Energy, Environment and Water (FE²W) Network will be held from 15:00 – 15:40 in Paris, France, with remarks delivered by George Mina, Australian Ambassador to UNESCO, and Blanca Jiménez Cisneros, UNESCO. From 15:40 – 16:10 a media session and networking will take place, followed by technical sessions on the main tenets of the Network: 'Understand Risks,' 'Engage Decision-Makers' and 'Enable Action'. Speakers for the technical sessions include Jim Hall, University of Oxford; Dustin Garrick, McMaster University; Quentin Grafton, Australian National University; Karen Hussey, Australian National University; Pamela Katic, International Water Management Institute (IWMI); Nathanial Matthews, Water, Land and Ecosystems; and Stuart Orr, WWF International. FE²W is a network of individuals from academia, the private and public sectors, and civil society, who wish to effectively respond to the challenges, risks and opportunities of achieving food, water and energy security while sustaining the environment and enhancing livelihoods, today and into the future.
