This high-level event will launch the 2019 edition of 'The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World' (SOFI) (A/RES/73/253).
The launch event is co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The launch is a “special event” of the July 2019 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). It is expected to be webcast.
