The Land Policy Initiative (LPI) is organizing an Experts' Group Meeting (EGM) to revise and validate the LPI's draft communications and advocacy strategy. The LPI developed the draft strategy to: increase awareness and understanding by stakeholders of its objectives; and better position itself as a key driver on land issues in Africa. The validation meeting is expected to: review and discuss the draft strategy to ensure it is in line with the LPI's strategic objectives; provide technical inputs to enrich the draft document for finalization; recommend additional ways to make the strategy more relevant and effective; and propose follow-up actions and partnerships to more effectively implement the strategy. The LPI is a joint programme of the tripartite consortium consisting of the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
