The theme of this World Congress, “Desalination: Quenching a Thirst,” reflects the importance of the desalination process in addressing increasing global demand for clean freshwater. Some of the themes of this congress are: thermal desalination design improvements; alternative desalination techniques; desalination and the environment; regional desalination perspectives; water quality and public health; and wastewater reclamation and repurification.
