International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is celebrated annually on 9 August. The theme of the 2019 event is, ‘Indigenous Languages’.

The Day will focus on the current situation with indigenous languages around the world within the framework of the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages.
