Informal Leaders’ Roundtable on Climate Action

The Informal Leaders’ Roundtable on Climate Action will bring together Heads of State and Government to build a common understanding on how world leaders can strengthen international cooperation and re-energize the multilateral system to deliver demonstrable progress through a successful outcome at the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022.

Hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, with President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi of Egypt, the event will take place during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), and will, among other things, take stock of actions taken by governments to date to fulfill and strengthen commitments made at and before COP 26 in Glasgow, UK, in 2021.
