ICT for SDGs ITU Academia Partnership Platform

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), with support from the London School of Economics (LSE), will convene the information and communication technology (ICT) for SDGs ITU Academia Partnership Platform themed ‘ICT-enabled Economic Growth, Innovation and Job Creation for Sustainable Development’.

The event will bring together some of the leading scholars and authors of the ITU book titled, ‘ICT-centric Economic Growth, Innovation and Job Creation,’ which highlights the challenges and opportunities that ICTs bring in the areas of innovation, governance, education, job creation and economic growth by cutting across all the SDGs and enabling growth and sustainable development.

The meeting will address, inter alia: accelerating digital transformation for the SDGs; the role of laws, regulations, policies and the public sector in harnessing ICTs for the SDGs; and ways forward for innovative research on ICTs for the SDGs.
