This conference will focus on policies for sustainable and inclusive economic growth in natural resource rich countries. Key issues include ways to strengthen the macro-fiscal framework and strategies for economic diversification. The event will discuss shared lessons from regional and global perspectives with representatives from a number of diverse resource-rich countries in Asia and the Pacific, as well as Africa and the Caribbean, and will conclude with a high-level Policy Round Table Discussion. The organizers are the International Monetary Fund (IMF), jointly with the Government of Timor-Leste, and in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and Japan International Cooperation Agency.
