The Conference, organized by the Centre for Environment Education and supported by the UN Environment Programme and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, will serve as a forum for discussing the concept of environmental education in relation to education for sustainable development and help bridge gaps between the two, as well as sharing good practices and experiences in education for sustainable development. It will also help set the roadmap for progress through the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
