Fifth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development

The Fifth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development will emphasize accomplishing the three Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) objectives through a regional agenda and sharing of experiences, namely universal access to modern energy services, doubling energy efficiency and doubling the share of renewable energy by 2030 globally. The Forum is organized by the Government of Tunisia and the UN Economic Commissions for Europe, Western Asia, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africa. A high-level dialogue on 'International Cooperation towards Sustainable Energy for All' is expected to adopt a declaration reaffirming the roles of key stakeholders and calling for joining efforts to achieve the SE4All objectives. The forum will also include a workshop on energy efficiency investments and the launch of a new UN Development Account project on promoting renewable energy investments.
