The eleventh meeting of the Open-ended Working Group will consider its work programme, comprising of: strategic issues; scientific and technical matters; legal, governance and enforcement matters; international cooperation and coordination; and the BRS programme of work and budget.

Highlights will include discussions on the strategic framework, technical guidelines, the review of Annexes I, III and IV and related aspects of Annex IX to the Convention, whether to review Annexes II, VIII and IX, the Basel Convention Partnership Programme and new agenda items on marine plastic litter and microplastics and waste containing nanomaterials.
