DCF Side Event: Adaptation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Role of Development Cooperation in Asia and the Pacific

The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the UN Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) are organizing a lunchtime event at the Biennial High-Level Meeting of the Development Cooperation Forum (DCF), on 'Adaptation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Role of Development Cooperation in Asia and the Pacific.' Shamshad Akhtar, Executive Secretary of ESCAP, will moderate the high-level panel discussion, which will include finance ministers and senior ministers from the Asia-Pacific region, as well as representatives of the private sector and civil society. The panel will discuss prioritization and sequencing of national actions for achieving sustainable development, and how development cooperation frameworks can be reshaped in accordance with the development needs and priorities of beneficiary countries. The event will be chaired by Gyan Chandra Acharya, High Representative for OHRLLS.
