21-22 March 2024 Copenhagen, Kobenhavn, Denmark
Copenhagen Climate Ministerial

The Copenhagen Climate Ministerial will bring together around 40 climate leaders and ministers from around the world to galvanize climate action and advocate for an ambitious result at the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29). COP 29 will convene in November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Government of Denmark will host the Ministerial in cooperation with the COP presidencies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Azerbaijan. COP 28 President Sultan Ahmed al-Jaber will chair the meeting with the incoming COP 29 President Designate Mukhtar Babayev and Danish host Dan Jørgensen.

The meeting is the first time climate leaders and ministers from central negotiation groups will meet in person since COP 28 and will feature plenaries and breakout sessions. Participants will address a range of topics, including nationally determined contributions (NDCs), finance, climate change adaptation, loss and damage, and mitigation.
