The event will bring together senior government officials, business leaders, academics, international experts, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to engage on key aspects of carbon pricing, including carbon markets. It will seek to identify ways to leverage carbon pricing to increase ambition in addressing climate change. Discussions will focus on experiences to date, emerging programmes and opportunities for new partnerships.

The event takes place during the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in San Francisco, US. It is convened by the European Commission, State of California, Government of Canada, International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), World Bank and Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC).
