7-8 March 2024 Paris, Ile-De-France, France
Buildings and Climate Global Forum

The Buildings and Climate Global Forum aims to gather ministers and high-level representatives of key organizations, for the first time, to initiate a new impetus in international collaboration for building decarbonization and resilience after the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 28). The Forum follows the launch of the Buildings Breakthrough at COP 28, an initiative supported by 28 governments, the European Commission, and 19 international initiatives that aims to accelerate transformation of the building sector towards near-zero emissions and climate-resilient buildings by 2030.

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and France are co-organizing the Forum with the support of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction. The Forum will provide an opportunity to engage with ministers in charge of decarbonization and resilience of the buildings, real estate, and construction sectors from around the world.

Governments will be invited to endorse a common declaration outlining common principle and cooperation framework for global efforts to achieve decarbonization and climate change resilience in the building sector.
