In preparation for the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 60), this seminar seeks to explore the state-of-the-art research, identify good practices and lessons learned, and develop recommendations on financing and investment mechanisms for the advancement of gender equality and women's empowerment in the Asia-Pacific Region. Organized by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in partnership with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Women, the meeting will address: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); innovative sources of financing; and strengthening accountability for gender equality financing. A report containing a summary of discussions and recommendations from the meeting is expected to be made available at CSW 60.
