Amazon Summit

The Amazon Summit will bring together leaders from the Amazon region to discuss the future of the Amazon rainforest and the planet. Leaders are expected to address a range of topics related to the Amazon rainforest, including climate change, Indigenous Peoples, and food security.

In advance of the Summit, the Amazon Dialogues will convene from 4-6 August to discuss a range of topics related to the future of the rainforest. Representatives of the eight Amazon countries will convene with civil society organizations (CSOs) and social movements to discuss forest conservation and the survival of those who live in the Amazon’s forests. The documents resulting from the Dialogues will be shared with the Heads of State of Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela for their consideration during the Summit.
