The 60th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 60) will discuss the priority theme, ‘Women's empowerment and its link to sustainable development,' and will also review the agreed conclusions from CSW 57 on ‘the elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls'. The session will include interactive expert panel discussions on the themes, and a Ministerial Segment that will take place from 14-16 March 2016. The CSW Bureau facilitates preparations for the annual session, and is currently composed of officials from Brazil (Chair), Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan and Germany.
