The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) started preparations for its Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) in 2015. From 26 July to 6 August 2021, the IPCC will meet to approve the Summary for Policymakers (SPM) of the Working Group I (WG I) contribution to the AR6 and accept the underlying scientific technical assessment, which focus on the physical science basis of climate change.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be conducted online.
