52nd Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission

The 52nd session of the United Nations Statistical Commission will be held in a scaled down virtual format. It will meet for two-hour informal meetings from 1-3 March. On 5 March, it will meet from 9:00 am to 11:00 am EST.

Items for discussion and decision include: Data and indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; Coordination of statistical programmes; Economic statistics; National accounts; Business and trade statistics; Environmental-economic accounting; Migration statistics; Regional statistical development; Management and modernization of statistical systems; Big data; International statistical classifications; Household surveys; and Data and metadata presentation and dissemination.

The Statistical Commission consists of 24 member countries of the United Nations, elected by the United Nations Economic and Social Council on the basis of an equitable geographical distribution. The term of office of members is four years.
