The 46th meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (OEWG46) will convene in July 2024. The meeting is expected to consider reports form the assessment panels and engage in preparatory work for the 36th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (MOP 36).
OEWG 45 considered scientific findings related to “the twin challenges of ozone depletion and climate change” and examined the quadrennial reports by the Scientific Assessment Panel (SAP), the Environmental Effects Assessment Panel (EEAP), and the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP). Delegates also discussed at length the replenishment of the Multilateral Fund (MLF) for the triennium 2024-2026.
