The 39th International Association for Hydro-environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) World Congress will be held on the theme, ‘From Snow to Sea,’ and focus on the importance of considering the integral water cycle to address present and future challenges.

The Congress will provide a platform for science and practice to meet. Specific topics will include: human-water relationships; snow, river, and sediment management; environmental hydraulics and urban water cycle; hydraulic structures; water resources management, valuing, and resilience; computational and experimental methods; coasts, estuaries, and shelves; and extreme events, from droughts to floods.

Taking place alongside the Congress, an exhibition will present the latest developments in equipment, software, and instrumentation and showcase relevant achievements from practice.

The event convenes as part of the “roadmap” to the UN 2023 Water Conference.
