25-27 September 2023 Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada
32nd Session of the North American Forest Commission

The 32nd Session of the North American Forest Commission (NAFC) will bring together government forest officials, representatives of international, regional, and subregional organizations that address forest-related issues, and representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector. Participants from Canada, Mexico, and the US will discuss forest issues throughout North America, including climate change, fire management, insects and disease, and forest genetic resources.

As one of six regional forestry commissions of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the Commission serves as a policy and technical forum for the countries of North America to address the most pressing forest issues in the region and provide advice to the FAO forestry programme and forest policy. The Commission meets every two years to review progress, make recommendations, and set new agendas.

This regional meeting is one of a series of meetings that will inform the 27th Session of the FAO Committee on Forestry (COFO).
