The 13th Arctic Frontiers conference will convene under the theme, ‘Smart Arctic’. Its plenary programme consists of five main sessions on: the state of the Arctic; blue growth; smart solutions; bridging the gap; and Arctic business prospects. A science programme following the plenary will address: plastics in the ocean; the future of governance and handling vulnerability in Arctic ecosystems; the state of the Arctic; and a smart Arctic future.

The Arctic Frontiers conference seeks to build new partnerships across nations, generations and ethnic groups through a forum for dialogue and communication between science, government and industry in the Arctic. Its interdisciplinary partnership network includes some of the world’s leading actors in the Arctic, including the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Research Council of Norway, the Arctic Marin Ecosystem Research Network (ARCTOS), the Arctic University of Norway and many others.
