The 14th session of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Assembly (Part I) will convene virtually on 15 January 2024. The Assembly will consider and discuss issues relevant to IRENA’s future work and direction as well as administrative and institutional matters.

The IRENA Assembly brings together Heads of State and Government, ministers, and energy decision makers among its membership and States-in-Accession, as well as multilateral organizations, global stakeholders, and private actors, to take stock of operational plans and policies and highlight the concerted action undertaken to implement the energy transition across countries, regions, and the world.

The session will discuss the annual report of the Director-General on the Implementation of the Work Programme and Budget for 2022-2023 and the Report of the Director-General on the Proposed Work Programme and Budget for 2024-2025.

The 14th session of the IRENA Assembly will take place in two parts, on an exceptional basis, with the 14th session of the IRENA Assembly (Part II) scheduled to convene in April 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in parallel with the World Future Energy Summit (WFES).
