14th meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs)

 

The 14th meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) will convene from 23-25 October 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Statistics Denmark is hosting the meeting.

The UN Statistical Commission established the IAEG-SDGs to develop an indicator framework for the monitoring of the SDGs and targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the global level and to support its implementation.

The in-person gathering will have a members-only meeting during the first day (23 October) and plenary sessions during the following two days (24-25 October). All countries, international and regional agencies and entities, and other stakeholders are invited to attend the plenary sessions.

Sessions will focus on: updates on the 2023 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2023), the SDG Summit, and the SDG reports; data availability review and metadata review of the SDG indicators; refinements of the global SDG framework; the 2025 Comprehensive Review; implementation, monitoring, and reporting on the SDGs; data disaggregation and inclusive data; data innovations and initiatives for the SDGs; and data partnership and capacity development for the SDGs.
