The 2025 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will be the 13th session of the HLPF and will take place in July 2025.
The meeting will be held from Monday, 14 July, to Friday, 18 July 2025, under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). A three-day ministerial segment of the HLPF will convene from Monday, 21 July, to Wednesday, 23 July.
The HLPF is the main UN platform on sustainable development. It has a central role in the follow-up and review of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its SDGs. All UN Member States as well as representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs) participate in the HLPF, which meets under the auspices of ECOSOC.
HLPF 2025 will take place on the theme, ‘Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind’. It will conduct in-depth review of SDG 3 (good health and well-being), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 14 (life below water), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals).
