Itu_2The UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will be organizing an International Symposia on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Climate Change, to take place in Kyoto, Japan, from 15-16 April, and in London, UK, from 17-18 June.

The symposia are part of an initiative to combat climate warming and to examine the relationship between ICTs and climate change.
According to ITU, ICTs are estimated to contribute 2-2.5 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, which is likely to increase as technology usage also increases.
