July 2011: The Secretariat of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) has added an interactive map to its website, highlighting green economy policies and practices at the local, national, and regional levels.

The map allows users to select from several topics: Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture; Blue Economy/Sustainable Management of Oceans; Green industry, material efficiency and waste minimization; Natural Disaster Preparedness and Climate Change Adaptation; Sustainable Cities and Built Environment; Biodiversity, Forests and other Ecosystems; Freshwater Resource Management and Sanitation; and Sustainable energy: access, efficiency and renewables.

For each topic, the map displays policies (such as the Singapore Green Plan), practices (such as the Ethiopian Coffee Cooperatives), regional initiatives (of which there are currently none), and local initiatives (such as the Mexico City Rapid Bus Transit). [Green Economy Interactive Map]
