9 May 2015: The meetings of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm (BRS) Conferences of the Parties (COPs) convened throughout the week of 4 May 2015, in Geneva, Switzerland. On Saturday, 9 May, contact groups reported on: Basel Convention (BC) strategic matters; BC technical matters; Stockholm Convention (SC) compliance; technical assistance and financial resources; coordination and cooperation; and budget.

BC COP 12 discussions on Saturday focused on: the follow-up to the Indonesian-Swiss Country-Led Initiative, including the Ban Amendment and legal clarity; legal, compliance and governance matters; and scientific and technical matters, such as hazard characterization of wastes, among other topics.
