The first meeting of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA) of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), which has replaced the UNEP Governing Council, is scheduled for June 2014.
The High-level segment will consider: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including sustainable consumption and production; and the illegal trade in wildlife to address the escalation in poaching and surge in related environmental crime.
