World Bank Institute e-Bulletin Highlights Youth Training Activities

The March edition of the World Bank Institute Climate Change (WBICC) Practice e-Bulletin features articles on: a climate practitioner network in Latin America; the Bank's cities and climate change programme; upcoming Carbon Forums; training workshops; climate change and sustainable land water management; and agricultural water management under climate challenges in West Africa.

March 2011: The March 2011 edition of the World Bank Institute Climate Change (WBICC) Practice e-Bulletin presents news of the launch of a climate practitioner network in Latin America, and training of youth in Kenya to become agents of change and to implement youth-focused climate change-development activities within their communities.

The Bulletin also features articles on: the work of an e-course on developing the Cities and Climate Change programme; the upcoming Global Carbon Expo in Barcelona, Spain, in June 2011, and the Africa Carbon Forum in Marrakesh, Morocco, in July 2011; several training workshops on estimating opportunity costs and implementation costs of REDD+ (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, as well as conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of carbon stocks); climate change and sustainable land water management; and agricultural water management under climate challenges in West Africa.
