© World Bank August 2009: The World Bank has announced 100 finalists of the Development Marketplace contest on Climate Change Adaptation. Twenty-five of them will receive grants of up to US$200,000 to implement their projects over two years.

Proposals were selected based on their innovation, objective and measurable results, project design and organizational capacity, sustainability of impact, and growth potential. The finalists come from 47 countries, and will present their projects at the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, US, in mid-November 2009.
