January 2009: The Scientific Planning Meeting for a Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Student Research Campaign on Climate Change will take place from 26-28 January 2009, in Geneva, Switzerland.

GLOBE’s Climate Change Research Campaign aims at involving over one million students worldwide in climate change research. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are participating in the initiative as collaborating organizations. Planning for the Campaign will occur over a two-year period, beginning in January 2009. The Campaign will be launched in 2011 and culminate with a high-profile international student research conference in 2013. [GLOBE] [WMO list of meetings]
