Voting Open for Civil Society Representatives to UN-REDD Policy Board

The UN-REDD Policy Board is voting on four CSO representatives, one each from Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and developed countries.

13 August 2012: The UN Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries (UN‐REDD Programme) is inviting Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to vote on eligible nominees to serve as CSO representatives to the UN-REDD Programme Policy Board.

Voting is open from 10-31 August 2012, from among the more than 100 nominations from across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. UN-REDD is seeking to identify four representatives, one CSO from each region and one CSO from a developed country. The elected CSOs will be informed in time to attend the ninth meeting of the UN-REDD Policy Programme Board, scheduled to take place in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, on 26-27 October 2012.
