23 October 2015: The Secretariat of the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF) has published a set of four, 2-page Issue Briefs on the UNFF, the UN Forest Instrument, the UNFF Global Forest Financing Facilitation Network and the International Arrangement on Forests beyond 2015, to provide an overview of some of the key developments resulting from UNFF 11, held in May 2015.

The UNFF 11 key outcomes were the resolution on the International Arrangement on Forests beyond 2015 and the Ministerial Declaration on ‘The Forests We Want: Beyond 2015.’ The resolution strengthened and extended the International Arrangement on Forests until 2030, and established the UNFF Global Forest Financing Facilitation Network. Member States also extended the timeline of the UN Forest Instrument and the Global Objectives on Forests to 2030, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
