UNFCCC Trains DNAs from Asia, the Pacific and Eastern Europe on CDM Project Cycle

During the event, which was organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat, participants received training on the regulatory framework and application of standardized baselines, suppressed demand and the additionality of micro-scale project activities.

They also took part in discussions about the role of DNAs in promoting the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

UNFCCC17 July 2012: The Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) organized the Regional Designated National Authority (DNA) Training for Asia, the Pacific and Eastern Europe, which trained representatives of DNAs from the region on specific elements of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project cycle. Participating small island developing States (SIDS) included: Fiji, Kiribati, Micronesia, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste and Vanuatu.

The training took place in Manila, the Philippines, from 16-17 July 2012. Participants were trained on the regulatory framework and application of standardized baselines, suppressed demand and the additionality of micro-scale project activities.
