UNFCCC Secretariat Releases Two Proposals for Amendments to the Kyoto Protocol

17 June 2009: the UNFCCC Secretariat has released the proposals by Japan (FCCC/KP/CMP/2009/11) and Papua New Guinea (FCCC/KP/CMP/2009/13) for amendments to the Kyoto Protocol.
The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol will consider these proposals at its fifth session in December 2009.
