17 July 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released three submissions by parties containing further views and proposals relating to amendments to the Kyoto Protocol pursuant to its Article 3, paragraph 9, and a text on other issues outlined in document FCCC/KP/AWG/2008/8.

The submissions were received from Algeria on behalf of the African Group, Colombia and Tuvalu, and will be examined by the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties Under the Kyoto Protocol at its ninth session (AWG-KP 9), which is scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 28 September-9 October 2009, and Barcelona, Spain, from 2-6 November 2009.
