4 February 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released two reports from sessions held in Poznan, Poland, from 1-10 December 2008: the Report of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol on its resumed sixth session and the Report of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation on its 29th session.

The Report of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol on its resumed sixth session (AWG-KP6) (FCCC/KP/AWG/2008/8) includes sections on: analysis of means to reach emission reduction targets and identification of ways to enhance their effectiveness and contribution to sustainable development; consideration of relevant methodological issues; consideration of information on potential environmental, economic and social consequences, including spillover effects, of tools, policies, measures and methodologies available to Annex I parties; analysis of mitigation potentials and identification of ranges of emission reduction objectives of Annex I parties; consideration of further commitments by Annex I parties; and work programme for 2009.
The Report of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation on its 29th session (SBI29) (FCCC/SBI/2008/19) includes sections on: national communications and greenhouse gas inventory data from parties included in Annex I to the Convention; national communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention; financial mechanism of the Convention; implementation of article 4, paragraphs 8 and 9, of the Convention; development and transfer of technologies; capacity-building under the Convention; capacity-building under the Kyoto Protocol; reporting and review of information submitted by parties included in Annex I to the Convention that are also parties to the Kyoto Protocol; matters relating to article 3, paragraph 14, of the Kyoto Protocol; report of the administrator of the international transaction log under the Kyoto Protocol; amendment of the Kyoto Protocol in respect of procedures and mechanisms relating to compliance; administrative, financial and institutional matters; and other matters: annual compilation and accounting report for Annex B parties under the Kyoto Protocol.
