7 April 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released an addendum (FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/MISC.1/Add.4) to document FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/MISC.1 and Add.1.3, comprising two further submissions on ideas and proposals on the elements contained in paragraphs 1 of the Bali Action Plan.

The first proposal concerns Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests, and the enhancement of forest carbon stocks and was jointly submitted by Belize, the Central Africa Republic, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Ghana, Guyana, Kenya, Madagascar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Vanuatu and Viet Nam. The second proposal, submitted by the Czech Republic on behalf of the European Community, consists of enhanced action on mitigation under 1bi, 1bii of the Bali Action Plan. [The addendum]
