UNFCCC Secretariat Receives Submissions under Bali Action Plan

© UNFCCC19 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released two documents containing the 74 submissions from 41 parties it received up to 5 May 2009, on Ideas and proposals on the elements contained in paragraph 1 of the Bali Action Plan FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/MISC.4 (Part I) and FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/MISC.4 (Part II).

The submissions will be examined by the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-Term Cooperative Action under the Convention at its sixth session, scheduled to be held from 1-12 June 2009, in Bonn, Germany. The submissions in the context of cooperative action now, up to and beyond 2012, address, inter alia: a shared vision for long-term cooperative action; enhanced national/international action on mitigation of climate change; enhanced action on adaptation; enhanced action on technology development and transfer to support action on mitigation and adaptation; and enhanced action on the provision of financial resources and investment to support action on mitigation and adaptation and technology cooperation.
